About Alexandra Chapman

An outstanding scholar and athlete in her senior year of high school, Alexandra Chapman is poised to meet the challenges of higher education. With her stellar achievements, Miss Chapman will certainly have many choices available to her after graduation. Alexandra Chapman received the prestigious Smith College Book Award in 2011 and has been recognized for her academic achievement with the AP (Advanced Placement) Scholar with Honor award.

A resident of Victor, New York, Alexandra Chapman enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and swimming. She has played for the Victor-Farmington United Travel Soccer Club since the age of 11. At Victor Senior High School, Miss Chapman played on the Junior Varsity Soccer squad her freshman and sophomore years at Victor High and on the Varsity Soccer team during her junior and senior years. She also participated on the track-and-field team her sophomore and junior years. An avid traveler, Miss Chapman visited Spain with other Victor High students between her sophomore and junior year, has been to Hawaii twice, and has enjoyed more than 10 visits to Disney World.

Dedicated to helping her hometown and the surrounding community, Alexandra Chapman provides guidance to young athletes through the Victor-Farmington United Travel Soccer Club and volunteers at the F. F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, New York. She has worked with the Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard to distribute food to families in need and has helped to raise funds for the organization. Miss Chapman also volunteers for the annual Great Pumpkin Walk in Ontario County, New York. Miss Chapman combines her interest in athletics with her charitable work by participating in marathons and walkathons, including the George Eastman House Photo Finish 5K to benefit cancer research, the Bill Lawler 5K Run/Walk for Huntington?s Disease, and the American Cancer Society Making Strides to End Breast Cancer walk.

In terms of academics, Miss Chapman maintains High Honor Roll status at Victor Senior High School and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society (Sociedad Honoraria Hisp?nica). Miss Chapman serves as the current Co-President of the Victor Senior High School Medical Explorers Club and participates in the high school?s Varsity Club and Key Club. She spends her free time reading poetry, listening to music, and playing guitar.
